What is Vision Belize?

Vision Belize is a digital gradebook for schools in Belize. A teacher records marks for each assessment, term averages are calculated automatically, final grades are reviewed and approved, and a report card is prepared that matches the school’s own format — replacing the physical gradebook and the manual calculations that go with it.

Is Vision Belize designed for Belizean schools?

Yes. It is built around the terminology and workflow Belizean schools already use — Infant and Standard levels in primary, Forms in secondary, class names like Standard 5A and Form 2B, three academic terms, and subjects such as Mathematics, English Language and Social Studies. It is not a general-purpose product with Belize added afterwards.

Can schools customize their report cards?

Yes — that is a core part of the design. A school sets its own logo, name and colours, chooses which sections appear and what they are called, and configures signature areas and notices. Schools are not forced onto one shared format.

Can teachers override calculated grades?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The calculated average is a starting point, not a final decision. A teacher can replace it with a different final grade, and the system marks that grade as overridden and keeps the reason the teacher recorded, so the change stays transparent to the teacher and to school administration.

Can report cards be printed?

Yes. Report cards are laid out for paper first — printed directly for a whole class, or exported as a PDF to store or send home.

Can different schools use different grading systems?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each school configures its own grading scale, its passing grade, its assessment categories, and whether averages are calculated simply or by weighting each category. Two schools using Vision Belize can grade quite differently.

Is Vision Belize suitable for primary and secondary schools?

Accepted Answer

Both. The grade levels, class names, subject lists and report-card sections are all configured per school, so a primary school working in Standards and a secondary school working in Forms can each set it up to match how they run.
